I read somewhere that it is not advisable to keep pets at home while one is expecting a kid. is it a myth? i have two amazing dogs and i can not abandon them just because a new member is coming in the family. But it is still not clear with what can be done about this situation. what can we do about this?

I am not a doctor to express my views but one should avoid having pet during preg. because of fear of infections.
